The Kenetrek Wildland Fire boot is just as tough as the hunting boots. I am a full time guide in the winter and a wildland firefighter in the summer. I started wearing Kenetrek's hunting boots 10 plus years ago and have never had any major issues, so I decided to give the Kenetrek Wildland Fire boot a try. The boot has a solid shank which helps for going up steep terrain. The one problem I normally have with a lot of the newer wildland boots is they normally can not handle the high temps but this boot handled it with no problems at all. The only problem I had with the boots is the boot took a long time to break in making it hard on the feet when hiking 5 plus miles. After they broke in, the boot was great. It's a good day in our industry when your not having to worry about if your boots can handle the day, weeks, months, years and these boots have handle themselves great as they are on year two. Great job with these boots!
